Deccan Knights remain on top in Ace League

Deccan Knights continued their unbeaten run as they comfortably beat AJ Blues by 21 runs to remain on top after the 8th week matches in the Ace Premier League sponsored by Ace Travels and Tours and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association.
In the other matches, Kanoo Travel and Zinda Tilismat beat Natco and Ace Travel by 44 and 30 runs respectively.
Kanoo Travel scored 215-6 with Parvez Khan scoring a quick-fire 57 in 31 balls (5x4s and 2x6s) and Amer hitting a blazing innings of 53 runs (2x4s and 4x6s), while Kaleem chipped in with 23 and Haroon Abdullah 38 (6x4s). Usman picked up two wickets for 47, while Humayun, Sadiq and Atta took a wicket each.
In reply Natco could manage only 171-8 with Hussain making 57 in 18 balls (5x4s and 5x6s). He was given able support by Humayun (33) and Atta (21). The rest caved in to the spin of Akbar (4-25), Zahid (2-25) and Haroon (2-26) to give Kanoo Travel a win by 44 runs.
Another match saw Zinda Tilismat bat first and race to 198-2 with Irfan hitting an unbeaten 94 off 54 balls (7x4s and 7x6s). Others who gave him company were Javed (41) and Noor (46 not out). Wajid took 2-36. Ace Travel in reply was bundled out for 168 to hand Zinda Tilismat a 30-run win. Sadat (42), Wajid (25), Sajjad 2(8) and Kamran (21) were among the runs for Ace. Others, however, failed to withstand the bowling of Noor (3-28) and Abdullah (2-30).
In another match Deccan Knights elected to bat first and was all out for 187. Najeeb top scored with 46 (5x4s and 2x6s), while Afroz (21), Inayath (20) and Sohail (20) gave him decent company. Nadeem 3-32, Ather 2-18, Shariq 2-35 and Fayaz 2-42 shared the wickets.
AJ Blues in reply put up a good fight, but perished for 166-6 to lose by 21 runs. Zubair (49), Atharullah (24), Arsalan (23) and Fayaz (21) batted well, but were no match for Rabbani (2-29), Ather (2-27) and Abu Jabri along with Inayath, who picked up a wicket each. __
