Hala Academy White to take on Al-Mazroi in final

Mazroi XI and Hala Academy White set up Morning Tournament final after beating ALJ Toyota and Arabian Auto Agency (AAA) in their respective semifinals here recently.
Elsewhere Dopco Stars, My Care Hala and APF won their respective encounters in the WPCA Summer Premier tournament, while QRCC and Johnson Control emerged winners in the Summer Morning Tournament.
The first semifinal saw Al-Mazroi XI beat ALJ-Toyota by nine wickets. ALJ-Toyota electing to bat first put on 140 in 20 overs. Tanveer made 15, Adil 13, Basheer 15 and Zahid 32. ALJ was comparatively well placed at 51-2 when it lost quick wickets with Naeemullah Khan and Nazeer returning to the pavilion without scoring and leaving the team reeling at 60-5. Mudassir top scored with 39 and shiraz hit 76 in the last 10 overs. Laiq Gondhlekar took 3-16, Faisal 2-33, while Khalil Dawre and Faizan bagged one wicket each.
Al-Mazroi XI in reply was home (141) in 74 balls for the loss of one wicket with Sufiyan Laheri unbeaten on 55 (5x4s) and Kifayat 39. Faisal remained unbeaten on 20. Mudassir claimed the only wicket to fall.
The second semifinal saw Hala Academy White thrash AAA comprehensively. Batting first AAA made 153. Abdul Rauf and skipper Naveed (29) fell cheaply. Ashraf then added 41 and Tahir hit 99 off 29 balls. Nayeem scored 19 to take the tally to 113. Afsar and the tail took the tally to 153. Saqlain took four wickets for 21, Furkan 2-28 while Adil and Janzeb claimed a wicket each.
Hala Academy White in reply saw Furkan make 36 (7x4s), Janzeb 33 as they put on 76 for the first wicket. AAA then managed to claim four wickets to make it 104-4 to put Whites on the back foot but Abdulmoeed's unbeaten 36 helped Hala to the winning target of 154. Fahad took 2-30 and Ahmed 2-37.
In the Summer Premier Tournament, My Care & Hala beat Usman Gems by eight wickets. Batting first, Usman Gems was bundled out for 135. Amir Sajjad made 46, Amjad 20, Moazzam 25 and Asif 20. Kashif Shafeeq scalped 3-10, Rehan 2-27, Waqas 2-34. My Care & Hala reached the target of 136 for the loss of two wickets. Kashif Shafeeq remained unbeaten on 69, Khurram Karamat added 37 and Qazzafi 21. Hashim Khan and Imran shared the wickets.
The second match saw Dopco Stars beat Crown Steel by 14 runs. Dopco, batting first, made 236-4 as Usman hit 74 (6x6s and 4x4s) and Khurram with an unbeaten knock of 65 (7x4s) added 102 runs for the third wicket. Shahbaz hammered 43 to take the total to 236. Shafeeq, Hammad Saeed, Fahad and Abid were among the wickets.
Crown Steel, in reply, lost Shafeeq early but Hammad Saeed made 45 and Abid Naseem 60, Abu Huraira 59 for a losing cause. Mehboob Bobby took 2-55 while Riaz, Shoaib Ali and Shahbaz claimed a wicket each.
Another match saw APF beat IDB by 34 runs. APF batting first scored 201-5 as skipper Nadeem Amin scored 51, Imran Usman 55 and Wajahat 29. Waseem took 2-44. IDB, in reply, could score only 167-7. Ramazan was back second ball, but Khalid Butt with 29, Adeel 34, Amir 23 and Khurram 24 not out tried their best to take their team to the target. Arshad grabbed 4-39 as Qayyum, Nadeem Master and Murtuza claimed a wicket each.
The Morning Summer Tournament saw QRCC defeat Orbital Horizon and Johnson Control downed Otex. __
