Mazroi-XI, Naved Nawaz of AAA, Afzal Saleem and Nadeem Javed of Al-Saudi XI blasted centuries in the Morning and Dopco Premier Cup tournaments being organized by Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA) here. Al-Saudi XI beat APF in the last league match of the Dopco Premier Cup, which is sponsored by Dopco Company. Al-Mazroi, AAA, Johnson Control Blue and Hala Academy White emerged victorious in the Morning tournament. Asian Plastic Factory (APF) opting to bat first scored 313-8 in 40 overs. Imran Ghani made 92 off 77 balls, Nadeem Amin added 42, Wajahat 40, Rashid 53 and Arshad Chaudhry 26. Abbas took 3-53, Nadeem Javed 2-31, Dr. Aamer 2-75 and Salman bagged one wicket. Al-Saudi started the chase in style with Nadeem Saad hitting 64, Afzal Saleem 118 and Nadeem Javed remained unbeaten on 103. The team achieved the winning target for the loss of two wickets, thereby winning by eight wickets. Abdul Qayyum and Arshad claimed a wicket each. In the first match of the Morning tournament Al-Mazroi-XI batting first scored 219-3 against Orbital Horizon. Sufiyan Laheri smashed 117 off 48 balls as Farook remained not out on 42 and Kifayatullah scored 23. Orbital crumbled for 113, losing the match by 106 runs. In another match Arabian Auto Agency (AAA) opted to bat first against Hala International School. AAA skipper Naved Nawaz was the only batsman to shine as he hit an unbeaten 103 to help the team score 162-5. Hala School was restricted to 118-8 as Noman and Salman scored 18 each. Ahmed Nawaz took 3-13 and Nasir 2-27. Johnson Control Blue piled up 165-9 against Rayyan Khan with Asif making 35, Ali 32, Amin 30 and Amir 28. Hisham took 3-11, Saeed 2-29 and Rafiq 2-33. Rayyan Khan was restricted to 131-8 to lose by 34 runs. Tahir made 28 and Hanzeb 24 not out, while Ali scalped 3-25 and Saeed 2-29. Hala Academy White was declared winner over Johnson Control Green on technical grounds. __
