Alpha clinches TCF trophy

Alpha Sports Club beat B Cola Tuskers by 10 wickets to claim the Tellicherry Cricket Forum (TCF) FSN Champions Trophy here Thursday evening.
Electing to bat first B Cola Tuskers scored 106-7 in 12 overs. Captain Shibu scored 42 runs, while Yashik and Shyjal added 15 runs each. Dinesh took two wickets, while Khalid, Madura and Ameen claimed a wicket each for Alpha.
In reply Alpha Sports Club reached the total in 8.1 overs without loss. Openers Nippuna and Pasindu scored 42 and 45 runs respectively. Nipuna was named the man of the final.
Earlier in the semifinals Alpha Sports Club and B Cola Tuskers scored 7-wicket wins over Mednet and Al-Jazeera Ford respectively.
This was the fourth straight flood-lit TCF tennis ball cricket tournament mainly sponsored by Faisal S. Al-Naimy Est. Twelve Jeddah-based teams took part in the event.
General Presidency of Youth Welfare official Sameer Omar Badawiyan was the chief guests at the prize distribution ceremony.
Tajmal Babu, TCF President, thanked the guests, participating teams, sponsors and others who contributed towards the success of the tournament.
Fadhil Group runner-up trophy was awarded to B Cola Tuskers, while Aero Express Fair Play Team award was won by Laksiri Cricket Club. Former Srilankan commentator M.M.M.
Naushad presented live commentary throughtout the tournament.
Man of the Match awards were sponsored by Bupa Arabia, Naseem Jeddah, Eazy Pens, Royal Costa and ABC Cargo.
Air Arabia air tickets, Geepas and Corbi Technology gifts were awarded to the following: Best Batsman: Pasindu of Alpha Sports Club; Best Bowler: Dinesh of Alpha Sports Club; Man of the Series: Madura of Alpha Sports Club; Fastest 59: Akbar of Al Jazeera Ford; Best Fielder: Siraj of Srilankan Malay; Best debut team: Predators Calicut.
