SEHAI technical instructors and the second grade students were invited by Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ) and Al-Essa Industries -dealers of Electrolux International Company – to attend the training course on the technologies of Electrolux's new type of washing machine and freezer-refrigerator at Marriot hotel in Riyadh. The two master engineers from Electrolux, Eng. Joe Takhar, director, Quality & Field Service (Canadian); and Eng. Tom Mulder, Regional Field Service Manager (American), gave the participants an intensive 2-day training course on their new products in Saudi market. The event reflected the frequent technical collaborations between SEHAI and its working group companies. Fahad Al-Harbi, Director of SEHAI and the Japanese experts welcomed the engineers and ALJ's staff at SEHAI Diraiya campus. After a brief tour of workshops and laboratories, they said "these workshops are very unique and effective because students can learn not only repairing works, but also basic customer services, such as how to get into the customers' house politely and how to finish repairing works cleanly. There isn't such a workshop in North America." SEHAI's home appliances workshop has two simulated kitchens in ordinary Saudi homes installed in many home appliances which are designed for practical repair works and miscellaneous trainings with a proper work ethics.
