JEDDAH – SEHAI-Japan Working Group (JWG), headed by Yoshitaka Nakamura, Director, Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME), held talks last month with Saudi Working Group (SWG) to assess the progress and achievements in each group's activities last year.
It was agreed, among others, that SEHAI will dispatch their graduates to Japan and others to train SEHAI's own junior instructors in the new phase of cooperation, and that the programs would continue to maintain the quality of technical education in coming years.
Salim Al-Asmarei, Head of SWG, appreciated Japanese positive cooperation and its steady development of technical curriculum in SEHAI, while Fahad Al-Harbi, Director of SEHAI made a presentation on current situation of SEHAI management and activities.
Other SWG members, including the representatives from Al-Essa (Hitachi), Modern Electronics Co. (SONY), ALJ (Toshiba and Sharp), Zagzoog (Fujitsu General), Ahmed Zainy Electric and Air Conditioning (Daikin), Olayan (Toshiba-PC and Xerox), United Matbouli (Samsung) appreciated JWS's achievement in the year.
Having the 1st batch of 67 graduates in Saudi labor market in electronics, home appliances, air-conditioner and PC & office equipment, SEHAI will gear up its activities with more closer relations with SWG companies in coordination with 3 Japanese experts in SEHAI Diraiya campus.
Established in September, 2009, SEHAI has been elaborately succeeded to achieve technical and academic experiences and programs, including 1 instructors' training in Japan at Nippon Engineering College Tokyo (NEEC), Panasonic and in Germany at Toshiba Europe and in Singapore at Daikin Industries, 2 technical trainings by Japanese engineers at SEHAI Diraiya campus, and 3 successful OJT (on the job training) programs at SWG's service centers in the Kingdom.
