In the 3rd week matches of the Kanoo Inter-Division League, Freight overcame Commercial, P&IP scraped past Maersk Lions and Travel flew past Finance. Freight vs. Commercial: Freight beat Commercial by 33 runs. Although Freight lost its opener early but all-rounder Hameen (26) and Fazal (17) played sensibly. They were well-supported by Oliver (35), Donald )37 not out) and Wahid Khan (24 not out) to set up a stiff target of 160-4 in 15 overs. Khaja (2-42) along with Ashwaq and Hakeem (a wicket each) bowled well for Commercial. In response Commercial openers Hakeem (10) and Abubaker (20) put on 40 runs and were further anchored by Ashfaq (28 not out) before Freight bowler Nasir put the brakes by picking up three wickets for 25 to restrict Commercial to 127. Freight's fielding enabled the team to cruise to victory. Donald of Freight was named the man of the match. P&IP vs. Maersk Lions: Despite losing three wickets for 32, Maersk Lions' middle order batsman Ashfaque (48 not out) and Asad (49) rallied their team to post a remarkable total of 150-5 in 15 overs. P&IP bowlers Noor, Raju, Najaf and Fazlullah picked up a wicket each. In reply, P&IP lost its openers in quick succession, but Raju played a crucial innings with his 47. He was well-supported by Asif (20 not out) and Noor (21 not out) as P&IP clinched victory by five wickets when it achieved the target of 153 for 5. Maersk Lions bowlers Shoiab, Ghazhanfer, Asad and Ashfaque picked up a wicket each. Raju of Freight was named the man of the match. Travel vs. Finance: Finance batting first lost early wickets, but bounced back thanks largely to Merchant's patient knock of 28. But at the other end, the wickets kept falling and though Nabil (26) played a supporting role, Adnan (2-19), Ranil (2-35) and Wasafi (1-26) rocked the Finance boat to restrict it to 104-8 in 15 overs. On the contrary, Travel made short work of Finance total, winning by three wickets. Despite losing both the openers early, Adnan (20) and Zubair (16 not out) was well guided by Sadiq (10 not out) to achieve victory. Finance bowlers Suresh (2-18), Sami Khan (2-26) and wicket each picked by Ehtesham and Thabrez bowled well. Adnan of Travel picked up the man of the match award.
