PTI marks National Day of Pakistan with call to unity

JEDDAH — Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Western region Saudi Arabia celebrated 77th national day of Pakistan with national sprit and fever at Fine Grill restaurant on Thursday.
Large number of party workers and regional office bearers attended the function. The ceremony commenced with the telephonic address of Assad Omer, senior PTI leader from Islamabad Pakistan.
He said our main struggle is to eliminate the scourge of corruption from the country. He urged workers to unite in order to achieve the milestones under the leadership of Chairman Imran Khan.
Omer further urged Pakistanis expatriates to elect sincere and patriotic leadership to attain glory for Pakistan.
He said overseas Pakistanis are valuable asset for the country. They have been making tremendous contribution towards Pakistan's economy through their remittances. "We will arrange for them the legitimate rights of voting," he added.
He lauded the efforts and contributions of Zulqarnain Ali Khan for organizing the PTI Saudi Arabia chapter.
Dr. Rashid Shah, vice president Western region, said we should build Pakistan according to the dreams of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Mohammed Iqbal.
"Imran Khan's ideals are similar, and it can be said that soon Pakistan would be closer to the goals, we are proud of him," Shah said.
Mirza Nadeem Baig, Ex-president PTI Saudi Arabia chapter, stressed on unity and discipline for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
Riaz Shaheen Afridi, president Makkah region, congratulated all newly elected members and office bearers of Makkah region. He said Imran Khan is a gift from Allah to the nation.
Choudhry Khursheed Mitial, senior member Jammu Kashmir community overseas (JKCO), said Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir.
Other speakers who highlighted the significance of the day were Zaid Awan, information secretary western region, from Makkah region Malik Sarfraz Awan, vice president, Syed Khaqan, general secretary, Mohammed Aziz Bhutta, information secretary.
Senior members Sheikh Mushtaq, Mohammed Ajab Khan, Ahmed Bashir Choudhry and Zeshan from Al-Baha also spoke on the occasion.
Omair gave a Power Point presentation on the history of Lahore Resolution March 1940.
Furrukh Rasheed, PTI leader and organizer of grand reception, gave vote of thanks. Zaheer Ahmed Choudhry was stage secretary.
