JEDDAH — A reception was hosted by Shaheen Nawaz, president of the Women's Wing of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the Jeddah region, at her residence on Thursday in honor of PML-N overseas organizers Choudhry Aijaz (Greece), Malik Noor Awan (Japan) and Sheikh Qaiser Mahmoud, general secretary PML-N Overseas.
Prominent PML-N and community figures who attended the reception included Sheikh Moaaz Nawaz, Sheikh Abdullah, Farooq Ata, Saith Abid, Noor Arain, Choudhry Khalid Rafiq, Choudhry Waheed, Choudhry Shahzad, Furrukh Anjum, Mudassir Kareem, Masood Ahmed Puri. Ladies Wing members Deeba Khan, Fouzia Khan, Asifa Tanveer, Almas, Shumaila and others were also present.
Malik Hemayat Ali, general secretary PML-N, recited a few verses from the Holy Qura'n. He also gave the welcome address and ably conducted the event.
While addressing the gathering Malik Mohiuddin, senior member PML-N, said it was an honor for him to be among the prominent organizers of PML-N Overseas. He congratulated the leaders on performing Umrah and visiting the Prophet's Mosques in Madinah.
Mohiuddin thanked host Shaheen Nawaz for organizing the reception and lauded her contribution in the development of the ladies' wing.
Choudhry Aijaz briefly addressed the audience in Punjabi. He also praised the keen interest and dedication of Shaheen Nawaz.
Malik Noor Awan expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He explained the firm measures taken by Sharif to ensure economic progress political stability in Pakistan.
Awan acknowledged the services of Shaheen Nawaz and invited PML-N Saudi Arabia members to visit Japan.
Qaiser Mahmoud lauded the significant achievements of the Sharif government. He said if the agreements signed between Pakistan and China materialized Pakistan would enter a new era of progress. Shaheen Nawaz thanked the guests for accepting her invitation. She presented a bouquet of flowers to the guests.
The event was presided by acting President PML-N Jeddah Choudhry Shahbaz.
