RCA Saturday T20 League kicks off

With 12 teams vying for honors the Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) began the Saturday T20 League here.
The 12 teams have been divided into two groups. Group A comprises Pak Shaheen, KFSH Riyadh Warriors, Pakistan Falcons, Riyadh Aces, Riyadh Blues and All Stars CC, while Group B includes Sama Steel, Lahore Badshah, Amer Holidays, Kashmir Strikers, KFSH Green and PTI Tigers CC. The final will be played on April 8.
In the first round matches, Amer Holidays beat Lahore Badshah by 60 runs. Amer Holidays posted a huge total of 220-9. Shams scored 87 and Samiullah 41. Musayyab picked up 5 wickets. Lahore Badshah managed 160, in reply. Mudassar made 51 and Fahad 45. Saeed Rahim and Samiullah bagged 3 wickets each.
Kashmir Strikers defeated PTI Tigers CC by 29 runs. Strikers posted 189. Mushtaq and Arif scored 50 each. Asif Khan claimed 3 wickets. PTI Tigers CC, in reply, managed 160-9 through Zahid (33) and Amin (28). Jahangir and Mushtaq took 2 wickets each.
KFSH Riyadh Warriors thrashed All Stars CC by 9 wickets. All Stars CC was bundled out for a meager 74. Mateen Abbasi picked up 4 wickets and Iftikhar Ali 3. KFSH achieved the target in 6.3 overs. Adeel remained unbeaten on 46.
Pak Shaheen trounced Riyadh Blues by 9 wickets. Riyadh Blues tallied 188-6. Shakeel scored 68 and Zaheer 39. Faisal grabbed 3 wickets, while Abdulaziz got 2. Pak Shaheen won the match in 10.3 overs. Abdul Waheed blasted 96 and Ibrar Ul Haq 85.
In the second round, Amer Holidays beat PTI Tigers CC by 101 runs. Amer Holidays recorded 271-4. Irfan Mushtaq top scored with 126 and Alam Zaib 67. Naimatullah picked up 2 wickets. PTI Tigers, in reply, managed 170-7. Naimatullah scored 62 and Zahid 32.
Shabbir claimed 3 wickets.
KFSH Riyadh Warriors got the better of Riyadh Aces by 5 wickets. Riyadh Aces, electing to bat first, was all out for 147. Umar was the main scorer with 43. Iftikhar Ali took 5-17. KFSH reached the target in 14 overs. Amjad Ali rushed to 71 and Syed Adeel 27. Tayyab picked up 3 wickets.
Pakistan Falcons CC beat All Stars CC by 82 runs. Pakistan Falcons scored a formidable 263-6. Kashif belted a ton (100), Hamza 69 and Asif Zaki 64. Zaheer grabbed 3 wickets. All Stars CC managed 181-9. Yasif hit 94. Tila and Hamza claimed 2 wickets each.
Sama Steel defeated Lahore Badshah by 65 runs. Sama Steel tallied 296-3 though Muzaffar (124), Awais (77) and Asif Butt (44). Lahore Badshah, in reply, managed 231. Kamran Hadi and Awais picked up 2 wickets each. — SG
