KFSH Riyadh Warriors and Pak Shaheen scored convincing wins in thrilling matches played in Prince Abdulaziz Bin Nasser Cricket Tournament organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) here.
In Al-Kharj League 40-over tournament, KFSH Riyadh Warriors got the better of Friends by 4 wickets in a one-sided affair. Electing to bat first, Friends was restricted to 224. Only Irshad Mubashir (97) and Hashim (52) showed some resistance. For KFSH, Iftikhar Ali was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 4-36 in 7.3 overs. Mateen Abbasi also bowled well and picked up 2 wickets. KFSH achieved the target in 23.3 overs. Opener Nasir Abbasi continued his good form and scored 87 off 45 balls. Amjad Ali added 44 and Ayaz Mohammed 41. Usman and Latafat claimed 3 wickets each.
Pak Shaheen thrashed Lahore Lions by 7 wickets in a high-scoring game. Lahore Lions posted 348-9. Mansoor scored 79, Muzaffar 73 and Nawaz 39. Faisal Khan bagged 3 wickets and Dawood 2. Pak Shaheen reached the target in 29.4 overs. Faisal Khan remained unbeaten on 175 off 75 balls. Abdul Waheed scored 89, Ibrar Ul Haq 43 and Abdul Salam 35.
Sama Steel thrashed Riyadh Warriors by 52 runs. Sama Steel posted 292 thanks mainly to Rizwan Manzoor's 89 and Kamran Hadi's 76. Toufeeq picked up 3 wickets while Ayaz, Zafar and Premnawaz claimed 2 wickets each. Riyadh Warriors, in reply, managed 230. Asif top scored with 96 while Abdulaziz added 38. Tahir scalped 4 wickets and Ejaz 3.
In Hayer League T20 Tournament, TBCC beat Kashmir CC by 1 run. TBCC scored 133. Asif hit 28. Qasim picked up 4 wickets. Kashmir managed 132 in reply. Faisal bagged 3 wickets.
Pakhtunkhawa Gladiators edged Rising Stars CC by 3 runs. Gladiators posted 197-7. Abdul Wahab added 49. Ahmed and Asghar shared 2 wickets each. Rising Stars, in reply, could only manage 194-9. Asghar added 58. Iftikhar picked up 3 wickets while Haider and Muneer took 2 each.
Saudi Jaguars Juniors humbled Tigers CC by 8 wickets. Tigers scored 179-9. Kamran Butt added 85. Salman picked up 3 wickets. Jaguars reached the target in 16.4 overs. Kamran Rao added 100 and Salman 54.
Kashmir XI downed Sulaiman XI by 82 runs. Kashmir XI scored 188-3. Arif scored 74 and Amir 44. Danyal picked up 2 wickets. Sulaiman XI managed 106. Ali added 29. Amir and Khurram picked up 3 wickets each.
Raavi CC beat Detecon Eagles by 7 wickets. Eagles managed 101. Nadeem picked up 4 wickets. Raavi won the match in 11.3 overs. Tanweer added 51 and Mehran 37.
