SAIB T20 finals lineup taking shape

Semifinals of SAIB T20 Tournament were played here at RCA Complex. The tournament is organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and sponsored by Saudi Arabian Investment Bank (SAIB).
In Huraymala League, in the first semifinal, favorite Friends CC defeated Kashmir Strikers by 6 wickets. Kashmir Strikers, electing to bat first, managed 181. Strikers started disastrously but Asim Nawaz added 52 and Sameer Rather 47 in the middle to take the team to a respectable total.
Hasham Khalid picked up 4 wickets and Latafat 2. Friends XI reached the target in 18.1 overs. Asghar Ali added 67 and Hashim 51. Shabir Ali picked up 2 wickets. Man of the Match: Asghar Ali.
The second semifinal between Roadecho Stallions and Falcons CC could not be completed due to the death of the mother of Falcons CC manager. The match will be completed on Jan. 20.
In Hayer League, Pakistan Falcons Red beat Nouman Gymkhana by 12 runs. Pakistan Falcons posted 181-6. Yassir Naik scored 37, Nadeem 35 and Amjad 34. Mudassar picked up 3 wickets. Nouman Gymkhana, in reply, managed 169-9. Hafeez added 79 and Zaka 32. Yasir Naik grabbed 4 wickets while Zeeshan and Jameel took 2 each. Man of the Match: Yassir Naik.
In the second semifinal, Al-Harbi CC beat Green Bangla by 4 wickets. Green Bangla was bundled out for 123. Zakir top scored with 33. Shahid Khan picked up 3 wickets while Asif and Moeen bagged 2 each. Al-Harbi reached the target in 18 overs. Shahid Khan remained unbeaten on 33. Man of the Match: Shahid Khan.
In Diriyah League, Pak Riderz beat King Lions XI by 7 wickets. King Lions XI scored 164. Ateeq hit 29 and Musabbir 23. Pervaiz picked up 4 wickets and Fawad Ur Rehman 1. Pak Riderz won the match in 17.4 overs. Fawad Ur Rehman added 63 and Ali Raza 53. Mohashin Sarkar took 3 wickets. Man of the Match: Fawad Ur Rehman.
In the 2nd semifinal, Pak Stallions got the better of Challengers XI.
RCA Cricket Academy was inaugurated by Saudi Cricket Center CEO Nadeem Nadwi and SCC EC Chairman/President RCA Tariq Javed. Speaking on this occasion, Nadwi congratulated RCA and said that this academy is first of its kind in the Kingdom and it will play a vital role in the development of cricket in the Kingdom. Javed in his address said it was RCA's dream to build such an academy.
