Youth leader Abdul Qadeer Chonge, ex chairman of Ashraya Housing Board, was felicitated by Gulbarga NRIs NGO Gulbarga Charitable and Welfare Trust at a local restaurant recently. He was in the Kingdom into perform Umrah. The program started with recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an by Syed Ashfaq Ahmed coordinator education, while the welcome speech was delivered by Saleem Khan, PR coordinator of Gulbarga Charitable and Welfare Trust. Joint secretary of the Trust Zaki Tameem highlighted the aims and objectives, and he also briefed all on the social activities of the Trust that is mainly helping the poor and needy people in Gulbarga. Vice president of the Trust Saleem Khalifa too highlighted the achievements and explained to the attendees' the activities of the Trust since its inception. Chonge, while addressing the gathering of Gulbarga NRIs, appreciated the social activities performed for the welfare of poor and needy back home. He assured to help the Trust through beneficial governmental schemes for marriages of poor girls and self-employment for unemployed youth. President Syed Nasir Khursheed described success of the Trust lay under hard work of each and every member of the Trust here in Jeddah and great efforts of the executive team working under the leadership of Mirza Azam Baig in Gulbarga. He appreciated the social works performed by Chonge as chairman of Ashraya Housing Board where he worked very hard to provide homes to poor and needy. He also appreciated the assurance given by chief guest to help Gulbarga Charitable and Welfare Trust in its endeavors. The program was well anchored by Imdad Ali, press secretary, while Abdul Wahid, treasurer, proposed the vote of thanks. He expressed deep sense of appreciation for Chonge and all executive committee members for attending the event at such short notice.
