ICT infrastructure needs big investment to achieve company vision for 2030

RIYADH — The Dell EMC Forum 2016 showcased on Monday in Riyadh the company's complete set of capabilities to help customers in Saudi Arabia thrive in rapidly evolving digital economy. The event featured keynotes and breakout sessions designed to help enterprises resolve pressing business challenges through the adoption of technologies like cloud, converged infrastructure, security, and mobility in the public, financial services, energy, education, and SME sectors.

Held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh, the one- day event focused on delivering key insights and best practices to help enterprises in the Kingdom maximize performance demands to stay ahead in an ever competitive and changing business environment.
Dell EMC revealed the findings of a study that outlines heightened business support for changes in ICT strategies and investments in light of the recent announcement of Saudi Vision 2030. Based on responses from business leaders of large enterprises across a diverse set of industries, the study revealed that 75% of business leaders believe ICT to play an essential and complementary role to enable national aspirations for 2030.
The study revealed that while business leaders do agree on the importance of ICT to achieve the broader national vision, 93% of businesses believe demands from Saudi Vision 2030 will necessitate the need to rethink ICT strategy and investments within their own organizations.
47% of business leaders reported mandates set down by the Vision to have had an immediate impact of their organizations plans and vision for IT and IT related services. These business leaders believe ICT solutions to play a crucial role in helping their business optimize the use of budgets .
