KOTON'S luxurious AW16 Collection tells the story of an intriguing Bohemian winter's tale by using a rich selection of fabrics, decadent hues, interesting textures and classic silhouettes to wrap up in during the cooler, winter months.
The first theme, Country Spirit, draws on cozy evenings spent next to the fire after a day spent exploring the fields and forests, breathing in the crisp country air. The designs, which have a beautifully bohemian character, draw inspiration from nature and combine dark blue hues with lumberjack red, timber shades, khaki and stone grey for a rich combination of color.
Texture is a major trend for the AW16 season and is used across the line with tweeds and chunky knits giving the line a warm, cozy appeal. Icy floral prints and embroidery contrast beautifully against cold pastel shades of Artic white and nude, while pearly metallic accents add a touch of glamour to this line.
The country-boho theme is articulated through deep reds, rich espresso, coral and bronze while inky blues and coals make the assertive detailing come to life. Highlighting the season's catwalk trends, this collection features voluminous frills, metallic lurex tricots and classic cigarette trousers as key pieces.
One of the season's biggest trends is the updated Business Silhouette, which adds a luxurious, feminine essence to traditionally androgynous lines. Moss green and khaki are blended with dark burgundy, denim blue and oxblood while a surprising accent of powder pink adds a fun, girly twist.
Tailored jackets and coats, midi envelope skirts, cardigan-style jackets, wool-knit jackets, checked shirts and short sweaters are key while sheer blouses and cosy knit tops add a touch of elegance to the look. Tweed, fur and cashmere-soft wool are some of the season's favourites textures making this line a must-have for every woman's AW16 wardrobe.
Koton is revered for its dazzling Accessories Collection and this season promises to be the best one yet. Key colors include dazzling metallics, maroon, nude, grey and exotic animal print while luxurious faux fur adds an elegant element. Shiny, patent leather shoes in masculine Oxford and loafer styles give the line a ‘London feel' while delicate, simplistic heels are a highlight this season.
Bowling, tote and structured model bags, on-trend mini-backpacks and bright, graphic envelope bags are dominant in snakeskin, crocodile and leopard print and jewellery is celeb-inspired with flamboyant embellishments of precious stones, tassels and gold chains creating over-the-top detailing. A selection of berets, soft-knit beanie hats, luxurious fur stoles, leather gloves and shiny hair accessories complete the AW16 Accessories Collection.
