MADINAH — Saleem, Musawir, Mudassir, Irfan and Tariq perfomed well in SCC Cup 2016, organized by Madinah Cricket League (MCL) and sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC). Crown Steel outclassed Awali King in a one-sided encounter. Awali King, batting first, struggled from the start and collapsed to 120 in 19 overs. Mehmood made 38 and Sadiq 25. Mudassir took 4 wickets and Arslan Mushtaq 3. Crown Steel, in reply, achieved the target in only 7.5 overs. Crown Steel only lost only one wicket to make 123. Madinah Strikers continued the winning steak by beating Evergreen. Madinah Strikers, batting first, made 167-9 through Irfan (54) and Sameer (31). Aman and Liyaqat took three wickets each. While chasing the target, Evergreen was restricted to 150-6. Ishtiyaq grabbed 4 wickets and Irfan 2. In another match, Taiba, electing to bat first against Sahiwal XI, made 200-7. Tariq made 62, Barket 32 and Tariq 27. Faheem took 2 wickets and Ijaz 1. In reply, Sahiwaal collected 182-8. Ijaz hit 45 and Javed 29. Akram, Asif and Omer took 2 wickets each. In the last match of the day, My Care & Hala dominated Lahore Badshah. Lahore Badshah, batting first, made 160-9. Farrukh made 65 and Waleed 22. Musawir set up a record bowling figures by taking 7 wickets in 4 overs conceding 24 runs. He was on a hat trick twice. While chasing, Saleem of MCH scored an unbeaten 116 and Musawir supported him with 21. They achieved the target in only 9.2 overs for the loss of one wicket.
