Published in The Saudi Gazette on 31 - 10 - 2016

Petromin, the newly appointed dealer of Nissan in Saudi Arabia, has launched the all-new Nissan Navara – the ultimate pickup truck – throughout its network of showrooms across the Kingdom.
The new model combines a tough working pedigree with premium comfort, smart technologies and sleek modern styling that helps to position the Navara as the all new king of pick-ups. The five passenger Double Cab Navara is engineered to handle tough jobs, carrying heavy loads of over one ton. A lighter tailgate which make loading and unloading easier.
The all new Navara offers best-in-class performance on and off the road. The four-wheel drive system (4WD) is electronically controlled via an easy to reach rotary switch on the dashboard. At the driver command is the shift-on-the-fly 4WD system that switches between 2WD and high range 4WD (4H). Drivers can stay in 2WD mode on the road, while for off-road conditions drivers can select the 4HI mode while driving up to 100km/h. In addition, the Navara offers class-leading transmissions and is a segment leader in delivering a 7-speed automatic transmission.
The all new Navara incorporates Nissan's ‘Safety Shield' technologies which guides the development and engineering of all new Nissan vehicles. They keep an eye on the vehicle's systems and the surroundings; assist in handling unexpected situations and ensure the passengers' safety in the unfortunate event of an accident. Supported with smart technologies, the Nissan Navara driver can enjoy using: Bluetooth Audio Streaming, Reversing Camera and Advanced Drive-Assist.
With a maximum five-star ANCAP safety rating across the range, smart technologies are designed to help monitor conditions. The reversing camera and rear sensors help the driver notice what's directly behind the vehicle –or what he might have missed. The Nissan Navara driver can now take control of the environment with a few smooth moves, as Nissan Intelligent Key with remote keyless entry allows its user to lock and unlock the doors without taking the key out of his pocket.
Nissan's pick-up and utility legacy spans across the last 80 years, and designed to deliver what is needed to "get the job done", resulting in the sales of 14 million pick-ups over 170 countries through 12 generations.
"Nissan pick-up toughness has made it one of the best-selling pick-ups in the GCC over decades. We consider the launching of Nissan Navara as a key element of our business expansion strategy. The all new Navara was put through more than 40,000 tests for quality assurance" said Tony Barlow, Chief Operating Officer of Petromin Automotive Services. He added, "The result is its tough design, ride comfort and smart technology."
With a commitment to its customers, Nissan-Petromin supports its clients with an extensive network of sales showrooms and after-sale services including periodic maintenance services. Through its 225 Nissan-authorized outlets, Petromin Express centers are strategically located across Saudi Arabia to provide convenient access and quick services to all Nissan customers, whenever they want, with no need for prior reservation. — SG
