101 motorcycles seized in Makkah

Police seized 101 motorcycles for multiple violations on Friday. Makkah Police organized an inspection campaign that lasted for 12 hours. Some of the seized motorcycles were stolen while others violated traffic regulations.
Man shot by unknown gunmen
QATIF — A young man was shot at by unidentified gunmen on Saturday. Eastern Province Police spokesman Col. Ziyad Al-Raqiti said the victim was in his 20s. The man was standing in front of his house in Al-Awamiyah in Qatif governorate when the gunmen opened fire on him. He was hit by several bullets and was taken to Safwa General Hospital, where he is slowly recovering.
Man arrested for murdering security guard
DAMMAM — Police arrested a man on Saturday for killing a security guard. Eastern Province Police spokesman Col. Ziyad Al-Raqiti said the police investigated the murder of one of the security guards of King Fahd Hospital in Al-Khobar last week. He was shot by an unknown individual. Eastern Province Police cooperated with Riyadh Police to track down the gunman, who was identified as a Saudi in his 40s. Police managed to arrest him and seize the murder weapon. The case was forwarded to the pertinent authorities.
Illegal houses, kiosks demolished
RIYADH — The local municipality demolished 28 houses for public property violations. Al-Rowdah Municipality Head Abdullah Al-Tayyar said the municipality organized an inspection campaign on encroached public property. The municipality demolished 28 houses and 16 kiosks for selling wood. The municipality also issued demolition warnings to 36 furnished apartments and arrested vendors selling milk in the street illegally. The people of Al-Rowdah District cooperated with the municipality by reporting violations.
Company manager held for blackmail
RIYADH — Police arrested an expatriate on Sunday for blackmailing a Saudi woman in order to employ her. Riyadh Police spokesman Col. Fawaz Al-Mayman said the police received reports of a Syrian man who attempted to blackmail a Saudi woman through WhatsApp. The man tried to bribe the woman to do indecent things with him by offering her a high-paying job at a company where he is a manager. Police obtained the WhatsApp conversation as evidence and arrested the man.
Young boy's hand stuck in pipe
JEDDAH — A young boy's hand was stuck inside a pipe on Saturday. Jeddah Civil Defense said the boy was two and a half years old. The Civil Defense managed to free the boy's hand. A Red Crescent team checked on his health and reported he suffered no health problems as a result of the incident.
