JEDDAH — Emir of Makkah Prince Khaled Al-Faisal on Monday toured the new industrial city in Asfan, in the north of Jeddah on the way to Madinah, where he opened 350 new car workshops that have shifted there from Al-Nuzha District near King Abdulaziz International Airport. "There is no excuse for any workshop to remain in Jeddah any more. All workshops should now move to Asfan," he said. He expressed happiness over the new industrial city and said it was built in a record time of nine months. Prince Khaled warned car workshops still located in Al-Nuzha District or in various other neighborhoods in Jeddah of tough action if they continue to refuse shifting to Asfan. "The governorate and the Jeddah municipality will conduct extensive inspection tours on all the car workshops in Jeddah starting early October and will cut water and electricity connections from them," he warned. The prince thanked the project owner, Abdullah Al-Muaili, who implemented the Asfan industrial city providing it with all the necessary services. "I hope that any businessman or industrialist who executes any project in Jeddah to have the same spirit and determination," Prince Khaled said. "I salute anyone who respects the law and order and who tries to develop the city of Jeddah in line with the hopes and ambitions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman," he added.
