SADAFCO expands beverage portfolio by introducing unique nutritious drinks
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 05 - 08 - 2016

IN line with its commitment to constantly innovate and introduce delicious dairy and foodstuff products for consumers, Saudia Dairy and Foodstuff Company (SADAFCO) has further strengthened its beverage portfolio by recently introducing two market firsts in Saudi Arabia.
SADAFCO recently introduced the new Saudia Date Milk making it the Kingdom's only ready-to-drink milk blended with real dates. The new beverage, prepared using a traditional recipe, comes in 1-liter and 200ml, allowing consumers to enjoy the refreshing drink at home or on-the-go. It is best when consumed chilled.
[caption id="attachment_74180" align="alignright" width="300"] Roberto Bernuy[/caption]"The date fruit, a staple food in Saudi Arabia is rich with natural sugar, a vital ingredient to re-energize the body and mind while also assisting to ease digestion," said Roberto Bernuy, marketing manager, SADAFCO.
"Some other milks are artificially flavored but Saudia Date Milk is the only milk including real dates, ensuring that you get all the flavor and benefits of date milk that you would only get if you made it at home."
Moreover, specifically manufactured for health conscious consumers who want a dairy alternative that is of vegetal origin and lower in saturated fats, the new Saudia Soy is currently the only soy beverage of its kind that is being produced in Saudi Arabia.
"Soy is naturally high in essential fatty acids, proteins, fiber, vitamins and minerals," added Bernuy. "Our new Saudia Soy is suitable for consumers who want to control cholesterol levels in the blood, those who are lactose intolerant, allergic to cow milk's protein or suffer from celiac disease."
Available in 1 liter packs, the soy drink can be consumed on its own from breakfast to dinner; with tea, coffee or cereal or even as an ingredient to make a variety of delicious dishes and desserts.
Both products are now available at leading supermarket and grocery chains across Saudia Arabia.
SADAFCO is a publicly-listed company which has been producing high-quality dairy and foodstuff products under the Saudia brand name since 1977, a year after the company was formed. Saudia enjoys market leadership in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in tomato paste and ice cream and the brand is a strong no 2 in the plain milk category.
Based in Jeddah, SADAFCO operates sales and distribution depots in 24 locations across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Doha, Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait. Saudia products are also exported to several countries in the MENA region.
SADAFCO currently operates three ISO22000:2005-certified factories in Saudi Arabia, two in Jeddah and one in Dammam.
