Carrier, a world leader in high technology heating, refrigerating, ventilating and air-conditioning solutions, has launched a new line of residential and light commercial air conditioning products including a small roof-top package, large split system units as well as high-wall split units. The energy-efficient product line, which uses Puron, a non-ozone depleting refrigerant, was launched through a series of dealer events held across the Kingdom recently. Carrier, which operates in Saudi Arabia through Arabian Air Conditioning Company and Carrier Saudi Service Company, its joint venture companies with E.A. Juffali & Brothers, is part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. More than 500 participants attended the dealer events held in Dammam, Riyadh and Jeddah. Presentations from Carrier and the Saudi Arabian Manufacturing Company, a state-of-the-art local facility in Jeddah that manufactures Carrier's light commercial products, highlighted the new high-energy efficiency ratings and features of the products. "We are proud to have hosted these dealer meetings, which allowed us to connect and collaborate with our distinguished dealers from across the Kingdom and to update them about our product innovations," said Nader Antar, managing director, Otis and UTC Climate, Controls & Security, Saudi Arabia. "At Carrier, sustainable innovation is at the core of what we do. We continuously evolve our products to new levels of operational efficiency, while staying in line with government regulations." The products launched included Carrier's new large ducted split system with Puron R-410A refrigerant, high-efficiency scroll compressors, single and double circuit units using the Comfort Alert control system, and also a high-efficiency small size (3-5 ton) roof top unit The key feature of the small size rooftop units is the evaporator fan, which has a direct drive electronically commutated motor that provides high efficiency performance. The dealer events also featured the Xpression Pro, Creation Pro and Optimax Pro hi-wall split units with advance filtration systems along with ‘follow me' function and four way air distribution features. The hi-wall units all have a unique ionizer filtration system, and use Puron and have a wide range of features to suit most light commercial and residential applications.
