Tawuniya offers 10% cut on Al-Shamel, SANAD
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 19 - 06 - 2016

TAWUNIYA, the kingdom's pioneer insurance company, has announced a special offer to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan. As part of this offer, private vehicle owners can purchase Tawuniya's Al-Shamel motor insurance or SANAD motor vehicle third party liability insurance at a special 10% discount on the insurance premium. This discount is availed only through Tawuniya's first of its kind E-store on www.tawuniya.com.sa. The E-store has been developed as part of the "Smart Insurance" concept to be an outlet for Tawuniya's vehicles insurance products as well as other products and services through easy steps enabling customers to process payments in a short period of time and from anywhere.
This exclusive offer is available from June 15 to July 3, 2016 and reflects Tawuniya's commitment to provide the most suitable insurance products to its customers through the best offers and easiest access, as well as raise community awareness about the importance of insurance and its role in reducing the risk of financial and legal consequences of car accidents, especially in the holy of Ramadan where traffic accidents have noticeably increased. According to statistics, traffic accidents have increased significantly to 33% over the last five years, with the World Health Organization ranking Saudi Arabia 23rd globally and 2nd regionally in the number of deaths from traffic accidents. In the last year alone, motor vehicle accidents accounted for 7,000 deaths and more than 20,000 disabilities.
Tawuniya's Marketing General Manager Majed Al Bahiti said: "We are very happy to launch this campaign and share with our customers the joy of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, and continue as always to provide our customers with the best offers and access to insurance products that meet their expectations and suit their different needs, specially motor insurance programs, their coverage, and services which have always proved worthy of customers' trust."
This step comes in line with the large demand for vehicle insurance programs provided by the company, which includes three types:
Al-Shamel motor insurance program, which offers comprehensive insurance cover to the insured motor vehicle including liability towards third parties, loss or damage to private motor vehicles from the risk of accidents, theft and fire.
SANAD private motor vehicle third party liability insurance program, which covers the vehicle's third party legal liability of up to SR10 million.
SANAD Plus insurance program, which covers car damage and liability towards the car insured and physical & material damage for the third party, including covering damage to the insured car up to SR10,000.
Tawuniya's "smart insurance" concept aims at the transformation towards completing all operations and insurance services through information systems and the latest technologies to meet customers' expectations in having comprehensive insurance services, saving time and effort in completing requirements and facilitating the provision of the service at any time and any place.
