288 residential plots approved over past four years DAMMAM – The Eastern Province Mayoralty is offering its investment staff training in a new global positioning and geographic information system. The new system will allow staffers to easily find an investment area in the region, said Sameer Al-Qassir, director of the investment information center. Meanwhile, the EP Mayoralty has also processed the paperwork for the development of 145 residential plots of land in Dammam City over the past four years, in addition to 90 residential plots in Al-Qatif and 50 in Al-Khobar. Dr. Ali Bin Muhammad Al-Siwat, director of urban planning at the EP Mayoralty, said that the mayoralty has approved 288 residential plots in total over the past four years. “The mayoralty and other relevant authorities take three months to approve a residential plot. The mayoralty seeks to facilitate and expedite the processing of paperwork,” he said.
