Attken opens first ‘Do It Best' in Saudi Arabia
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 26 - 04 - 2016

Attken International announced its partnership with the US-based Do it Best Corp, a member-owned fully integrated hardware, lumber, and building materials cooperative in the home improvement industry, to develop the first store of its kind in Saudi Arabia.
Under the name of Attken Do It Best, the new store will be unveiled in the eastern province of Dammam at the end of May 2016, strategically located on Khaleej Road by Al Shatea mall.
The opening of the new Attken Do It Best is considered a big step in the home improvement industry here in Saudi Arabia; it will meet the needs and aspirations of the consumer, offer value-added programs and outstanding home improvement services, and invest in building local skill and talent in the retail business.
The new store will display over 40,000 different high-quality products at competitive prices: from housewares, electrical & home appliances, lawn & garden appliances, outdoor furniture, lighting, hardware, paint supplies, bed and bath, hand & power tools, building materials, indoor furniture, sporting gear and accessories, automotive products, plumbing tools, storage and organization products, clothing & apparel, and toys.
It's worthy to note that the Arabic name "Attkan" is properly aligned with the concept of "Do It yourself", which saves a lot of effort and money and at the same time allows the consumer in Saudi Arabia to choose all the necessary home & garden goods within the concept of "Attkan", which distinguishes the company by providing counsellingand advice from its experts, engineers and technicians who will be present at the store to help customers develop their hobbies and aspirations, and choose the appropriate materials and their amounts in order to do it themselves and enjoy their achievements through the concept of "perfecting your work".
Commenting on the new partnership, Mishaal Al Bawardi, Executive Director of Attken Do It Best, said: "We are very proud of our partnership with one of the biggest specialized retail brands in the USA, serving more than 3,800 member-owned locations in the United States and in 54 other countries."
Al Bawardi added that Attken is pleased to offer a new concept of the latest services in that field, in addition to high-quality products and superior consulting for customers.
As part of the company's ambitious expansion programs, Attken Do It Best is planning to open 3 branches yearly throughout Saudi Arabia in order to offer their services all over the Kingdom, Al Bawardi revealed.
