RIYADH — Hundreds of cricket fans gathered here to watch the live screening of crucial WT20 cricket match between Pakistan and India last Saturday. The live screening was superbly organized by two famous production houses of young Pakistanis, Black Cinema Productions (BCP) headed by Billal Arshad and Versatile & Intellective Productions (VIP) headed by Omair Sheikh. The venue was a local football ground and it was beautifully decorated with huge banners and posters of cricket legends, flags od Pakistan and India, variety of food stalls and a mighty HD screen. The ground came alive with the jam-packed crowd of more than 2,000 Indo-Pak spectators including families, children, young and old. The crowd gathered at the venue well before time, suited in their favorite team's colors, green/blue shirts and scarfs, face painted, drumming and dancing and enthusiastic about their teams. A flag raising ceremony was also conducted prior to the match screening, national anthems of both of the countries were played. The Indian enclosure was represented by the Indian community representative Dr. Muhammad Ashraf whereas Pakistani enclosure was represented by the representative of Pakistani community Waqar Naseem Wamiq. Wamiq and Ashraf raised the flags of their respective countries, they warmly greeted each other and exchanged well wishes. The flag ceremony ended on loud chanting of Jai Hind and Pakistan Zindabaad by the supporters, it was the highest moment of jubilation between the crowds. DJ Usama Khan spun his discs of music, singer Asad Ali enthralled the audience, RJ Farad and Saadian made a ton respectively in their commentating innings and the both teams of BCP & VIP's fielded well throughout of the live match screening. The event was powered by sponsors including Knowledge core, K&N's, Titans World, Spectrum Lights, Samasco, Friendi Mobile, RMS, Al-Kabeer and various others. An award ceremony also took place on the occasion conducted by Omair Sheikh. The chief guests Sajida Chaudhary Bajwa and Waqar Naseem Wamiq distributed the mementos to the sponsors. Furthermore, businessman Sartaj Farooqi awarded Waqar Naseem Wamiq with an award of excellence on behalf of K&N's Saudi Arabia and a joint award of appreciation to BCP and VIP for conducting the successful event. He also distributed numbers of gift vouchers among the participants. India won the match by 6 wickets, and the Pakistanis congratulated them. A message of love, peace and harmony was conveyed between the two communities with a hope of more betterment in mutual relations.
