Published in The Saudi Gazette on 30 - 04 - 2015

AL-KHOBAR — The Asian community in the Eastern Province had a sensational evening under the banner of Vi Productions in Al-Khobar last Friday.
Versatile & Intellective Productions is a Riyadh-based event management company, which showcased their first ever community event in eastern Saudi Arabia after several successful programs in Riyadh.
A crowd of around 600 people, mainly families and including those from Riyadh and Jeddah, gathered for the event. Riyadh-based writer and youth icon Waqar Naseem Wamiq was the chief guest.
Melodious singers Sikandar from Jeddah, Nafina from Dammam and Vanessa from Al-Khobar entertained the audience with popular numbers from India and Pakistan.
Sikandar set the tone of the night, Nafina surprised the audience with her singing talent and Vanessa kept the crowd in high spirits with some famous Bollywood tracks.
Black, a musical band from Riyadh, enthralled the audience with their live performance. Their “Jugni” was the biggest hit of the night with the crowd singing the words back to the band and the youth getting around the stage to dance to their beats.
Black's members Yasir, Salman, Adnan and Saud played various live tracks on demand.
The show kicked off in a stylish manner with the official host of the show, RJ Fawad, and co-hosts Omair and Naffay welcoming the audience.
Fawad was up to the mark and conquered the audience with confidence whereas Naffay and Omair rejoiced their hearts by exuberant hosting.
Omair gave a brief introduction of Vi Productions and the chief guest. Wamiq was invited to the stage in the middle of the electrifying performance by Black the Band. He spoke out in praise of the performers, “Khobar is rocking at the moment”.
Wamiq described Vi Productions as the trendsetters and congratulated them on the successful event. The show was sponsored by Nazih Group, known for their beauty products, and the Maharaja Restaurant. Nasir Rauf, manager FMCG of Nazih Group, and Abdul Mateen Khan, their brand manager, graced the occasion. “It's a great way to bring us all together in an evening of fun and entertainment,” Nasir said.
Sabiha Hilal, director of Maharaja Restaurant, lauded the efforts of the organizers and said, “I felt great for being a part of this event; it's a positive activity that unites Asian families under one roof.”
Elite Club, headed by Javeria Assad and Fashion designers Kulsoom Khawajah and Shazia Syed of Shazoom Collections were co-sponsors.
“We are highly grateful to all our guests and sponsors for their support,” Vi Productions Director Omair Sheikh said delivering the vote of thanks.
