Patriots, Lahore Badshah Green shine in RCA

The 8th round of SAIB Cricket Tournament, which is sponsored by Saudi Arabian Investment Bank and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association, saw an interesting encounter between the ball and bat here recently.
In the Hayer League T20 Tournament, Patriots CC comprehensively beat Riyadh Royals by 9 wickets. Royals, batting first, scored 178-1. Banaras and Shahzad hit 66 each. Abid took 1 wicket. Patriots achieved the target in 12.3 overs. Abdullah remained unbeaten on 116. Shahzad took 1 wicket.
Lahore Badshah Green beat Green Bangla by 73 runs. Lahore Badshah scored 231-3 with Zeeshan scoring 73, Afzal 61 and Sahib Zahideen 50. Mithun picked up 3 wickets. Green Bangla, in reply, managed only 158. Al Amin hit 28 and Kakon 27. Sahib Zahideen and Atif claimed 3 wickets each.
Fast CC downed Watan Paal CC by 3 wickets. Watan Paal posted 165. Quraish blasted 35 and Shiraz 34. Majeedullah bagged 4 wickets, including a hat trick. Emad got 2 wickets. Fast reached the target in 18.3 overs. Ejaz scored 49 and Emad 44. Zainullah scalped 4 wickets and Naveed 2.
Rising Stars beat AKCC Blue by 34 runs. Rising Stars scored 194. Umar (76) and Irfan (50) were among the runs. Ali and Kamil picked up 2 wickets each. AKCC Blue managed 160, in reply. Haseeb hit 87. Usman, Junaid, Izhar and Nouman claimed 2 wickets each.
Punjab Stars thumped Insaf CC by 5 wickets. Insaf scored 198. Yasif Ali was the wrecker-in-chief with figures of 5-18 with the ball. Nouman picked up 3 wickets. Punjab Stars was home in 18.4 overs. Yasif Ali (67) and Rustam Faiz (60) played well.
White Star humbled Kingdom Warriors by 112 runs. White Star posted 231. Nadeem made 52, Umar 38 and Irfan 34. Warriors, in reply, was restricted to 119. Rashid, Irfan Sagar and Irfan Mughal scalped 2 wickets each.
Indian Strikers edged Imran XI by 46 runs. Strikers scored 204-5 as Sunil hit 64, Ashraf Talapadi 58 and Santosh 36. Majid bagged 4 wickets. Imran XI, in reply, scored 158. Aqib blasted 43 and Murad 33. Ashraf Cherukoden picked up 4 wickets.
In Diriyah League T20 Tournament, Shumaisi Fighters routed Sahara Net CC by 6 wickets. Sahara Net scored 205. Shumaisi Fighters chased the target in 18.4 overs as Mohsin scored 62 and Sajjad 56. Rizwan picked up 4 wickets.
Nouman Gymkhana thrashed Hara United by 154 runs. Nouman Gymkhana posted 252-3. Hafeez added 77, Mubashar 75 and Aftab 52. Hara United was all out for a meager 98. Afzal took 4 wickets and Zia 2.
Bannu Eagles whipped Habib Telecom CC by 5 wickets. Habib Telecom scored 177-8. Bannu Eagles raced to the target in 15.3 overs. Aziz hit 75 and Sadaqat 53.
Youngsters CC flogged Smashers CC by 7 wickets. Smashers posted 148 as Yassir top scored with 41. Youngsters achieved the target in 17.5 overs as Fawad hit 60.
In other encounters: Eirad Travels CC beat United Lions CC by 26 runs; Challengers XI thumped All Blues CC by 8 wickets; Professional Creation CC downed Naz CC by 42 runs; Seham edged King Lions XI by 1 wicket; and Saudi Zaas CC walloped Ravi CC by 26 runs. — SG
