RIYADH — To mark the celebration of the 67th Republic Day of India, All India United Society (AIUS) launched a series of community awareness programs. The first in the series, fire marshals training was conducted at International Indian Public School, IIPSR (SEVA) at Riyadh.
Indian Embassy First Secretary, Community Welfare, Anil Nautiyal was the chief guest and he said safety is very important by any means and this fire marshals training was beneficial and interesting. Nautiyal presented participation certificates to the guest on behalf of school.
He praised AIUS for conducting this informative program and presented attendance certificates to participating students.
In his welcome address IIPSR Principal K. M. Abdul Azeez said this is an orientation to the students and perfect practical idea to prepare "fire marshals". He appreciated AIUS and its office bearers for supporting the community by organizing very informative program for both the students and teachers.
President of AIUS Dr. Mohammed Ashraf Ali said that AIUS would conduct the fire marshals training programs at different schools in the Kingdom. Safety is the part of our life and students will surely benefit from these techniques irrespective of what they will become in future. They may become engineers, doctors, leaders, whatever they may be the safety is required in their lives. Ashraf introduce the presenter and coach of the day Mohammed Azizuddin.
On this occasion he announced that AIUS is planning to conduct blood donation, health and fitness camps as part of Indian Republic Day celebrations.
Azizuddin, a senior mechanical engineer working in Riyadh since 1992, has gathered good information of fire and safety measures and presented them to students in highly professional manner. In his Power Point presentation he described escape plans and how to maintain a log book for fire system. He prepared a practical demo for the fire marshals with safety jackets to act.
He also explained the responsibilities of the school management, and the staff appointed for safety. After the presentation and training, newly trained fire marshals demonstrated how to evacuate the place by making a line following the instruction of the teachers.
Azizuddin also demonstrated the practical usage of fire extinguisher to the AIUS Vice President Mohammed Rafeeq, students and staff. Azizuddin and his team Syed Abdul Jilani and Shaheed Syed organized the program. Vote of thanks was proposed on behalf of the school by Arshad.
