Butt hits century and Shoaib takes 6-15

JEDDAH — Shoaib Ali of Crown Steel bagged 6-15 to beat Friends XI, while Al-Saudi XI crushed MCC and AOT had the last laugh against Hyderabad Strikers in the SCC Premier Cup T20, sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre and organized by WPCA.
Al-Saudi XI thrashed MCC by 121 runs. Al-Saudi XI racked up 234-3, as last week's centurion Humayoun slammed 85 in 41 balls with 4 sixes and 5 fours. He added 179 in 86 balls for the opening stand with Faisal who was unlucky to be stranded on unbeaten 99 off 54 balls with 3 sixes and 9 fours. Fouad scored 27.
MCC was bowled out for 113. Ramazan was the top scorer with 35. Shah Zaman hit 31 and Waqar 18. Nadeem Saad grabbed 5-18.
Crown Steel won against Friends XI by 46 runs. Crown Steel piled up 173-7. Mortaza hit 35, Anwaar Chandi 20, Javed Iqbal 22, Fahad Suleiman 30, Muteen 16 and Shafaqat 14. Veteran Khalid Iqbal scalped 4-40.
For Friends XI, Saleem stroked 38 as he added 78 with Anees Malik (33). Shoaib Ali changed the course of the game by taking 6-15. Javed Iqbal claimed 2-22.
AOT defeated Hyderabad Strikers by 27 runs. AOT piled up 161-7, thanks to Naeem Shah who compiled 56 in 32 balls. He added 81 with Maqsood (35) after the team was struggling at 51-5. Faisal Mahmood made 22 and Ilyas 16. Abdul Quddus grabbed 4-18.
IN reply, Hyderabad Strikers could get to 134-8. Irfan Ayazuddin smashed 54 in 28 balls and Abdul Quddus 30 not out. Qaisar Lateef took 2-21 and Imran Yusuf (Gullu) 2-28.
SCC Afternoon Cup
Aijaz Butt of Nestle Milo blasted 124 against Azizya Elegant to win by 98 runs, AMI Juffali defeated Zultrack, Contraco won against Fuchs Alhamrani and Al-Safri emerged winner on technical grounds against D-T AOT in the SCC Afternoon Cup.
AMI Juffali trounced Zultrack by 7 wickets. Zultrack slumped in the middle after a good start of 43-1. Soon it lost 4 wickets to be 43-5. Mohsin made 12, Omer Mukhtar 11, Ijaz Khan 11 and Tanveer 13. Usman Mehar was the pick of the bowlers with 4-41. Asif claimed2-15.
AMI Juffali, in reply, reached 100 in 85 balls with 7 wickwts in hand. Shuboor stroked an unbeaten 33, Rafi Gujjar 30 and Usman Ghafour 25 not out. Abdulwaheed took 2-19.
Contraco defeated Fuchs Alhamrani by 10 runs. Contraco piled up 162-8 as Bilal made 24, Shahzad 14, Aamir 30, Shahbaz 30, Ahmed 11 and Shakeel 10. Mohsin took 4-25 and Irfan 2-31.
Fuchs Alhamrani could manage 152 for 8. Irfan Anjum top scored with 44. He added 58 with Nazaish (13). Khoban Ayan hit 33 and Saqib 42. Yaseen claimed 4-19 and Shehzad 2-23.
Nestle Milo crushed Azizya Elegant by 98 runs. Nestle Milo racked up mammoth 230-2. Aijaz Butt blasted 124 in 54 balls, studded with 9 fours and 8 sixes. He first added 140 runs in 58 balls for the second wicket with Faiyyaz who compiled 35. Imran Sarwar remained unbeaten on 32. Earlier, Adalat made 10. Mohammed scalped 1-27. Azizya Elegant, in response, could get to 132.
