Azeezia Soccer and United FC recorded victories in the second week matches of the 8th Keli Football Tournament at Nasriya Al-Asima International Stadium. In the first match, Azeezia Soccer, built on a solid defense, defeated Royal FC by 2-1. Niyas and Shabeer Ali scored for Azeezia, while Jobi converted a penalty for Royal FC. In the second match between United FC and Obayar Travels, Nishad Kolakkaden put United FC in the lead with a brilliant shot from the right. United continued its fine run and increased the lead to 2-0 in the 13th minute as Nishad hit again. Obayar Travels recovered in the second session, making several chances through some intelligent moves. But its strikers failed to find the target. As Obayar struggled to convert its hardwork into goals, United struck again. Receiving a neat cross from Muhammed Kutty, striker Salim completed the tally for United with a beautiful header. The tournament is sponsored by Riyadh Villas. Eight teams are participating in this tournament played on a league-cum-knockout basis. Last week's matches were sponsored by Fanees General Services, Haraj, Riyadh. Earlier, players were introduced to Priyesh Kumar, managing director, Fanees General Services. Friday's matches: Aybee Tec Lantern FC vs. Safeco & Arafa Gold Real Kerala (4:30 p.m.) and Jarir Medical Youth India vs. Obayar Travels (6:30 p.m.).
