The Filipino Basketball Association (FBA) will open its 31st season of basketball tournament at the Sheraton Jeddah Hotel sports complex at 5 P.M. Over 20 teams from reputable companies will parade from four divisions. They are: Inter-company Bona fide Division – Al-Shaya Trading International Company, Al-Tamayuz Co., Al-Zamil, Danube, Hugayeth, King Abdulaziz University Hospital (KAAUH), Petro Rabigh. Inter-Hotel Division – Al-Bilad Hotel, Jeddah Hilton Hotel, Inter-Continental Hotel, Le Meridien Hotel, Movenpick Hotel and the Sheraton Jeddah Hotel. Inter-Commercial Open Non-rated Division – Al-Zafer Cargo, Pantos Logistic, MOHAP, OBS and Paninos. Inter-Commercial Open Rated Division – SEMACS, Unilever and Friendster. The parade of teams will be followed by a short and simple opening program to be attended by respected officials of the Philippine Consulate, Filipino community leaders, representatives of participating companies and sponsors of the tournament, prominent individuals and other guests. The tournament is supported by Sheraton Jeddah Hotel, Royal Brunei Airlines, Sky Freight Forwarders, Tony G's, Himalaya Herbals, Royal Business Club, Argo Navis Water Purifier, Fruit in Ice Cream (FIC), Bison Energy Drink and Giordano. The championship will be officiated by Jeddah Officiating Group (JOG), supported by D'Jedd Carl Mobile Sound Mix and the PESOS group.
