JEDDAH: After a long break the Filipino Basketball Association (FBA) is set to open its 30th tournament at 4 P.M. Friday at the Saudi Hi-Tech Compound. More than 25 teams will parade from three divisions – Bonafide A, Bonafide B and Inter-Commercial Open C. The parade of teams will be followed by a simple opening program to be attended by the Philippines Consul General Ezzedin H. Tago, other respected officials of the Philippine Consulate, Filipino active community leaders and representatives of participating companies and sponsors of the tournament. Other special guests to add colors on the opening day are Miss Jeanette Cerbito, Andrei Laxamana and the amazing KSA Knight Movers. Commissioner Abel Chavenia declared that participating teams coming from reputable companies are Al-Murjan, Alsalam Int'l. Hosp-Mazda, Jeddah Fox, Pampanga Dragons, Panasonic Viera, Solid North, Symone-SMDC, Tetra Pak, Zahid Tractor-Logic, SMP-Aramco, Almajal-G4S, Al-Shaya Trading, Centrepoint, SAMCO-Juffali, King Fahd Military Hospital-Timeless, Soliman Fakeeh Hospital, Sharbatly Corporation, Toyota-ALJ-Lexus, Al-Tamayuz Co., Consolidated Can Mfg.
