AOT and SAA win Pepsi Cup matches

XI, while SAA-Sultan Al-Abideen downed Jawar Al-Jazira in the opening day matches of the Pepsi Cup — Premier Division, an event sponsored by Sipco Pepsi Bughshan and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association, here recently.
AOT Sonex beat Babar Toor-XI by 52 runs. AOT Sonex, batting first, scored a mammoth 235-7 in 18 overs against Babar Toor-XI. Zeeshan with 57 not out was the highest run-getter, while Faisal 51, Ilyas 45, Naeem Shah 39 and Faiq Habib 24 were the other batsmen among the runs for AOT Sonex. Rana Shahzad picked up 2-28, Zahid Bhatti 2-51 and Akbar Butt 1-60 for Babar Toor.
Babar Toor in reply could score only 183-7 in 18 overs. Majid Bhatti, Imran Choudhary 44, Adnan 32 and Rana Shahzad scored 17 runs. Nassir Iqbal bagged 2-18, Zeeshan 2-26, Nadeem 1-13, Qaim Khan 1-27 & Faiq Habib had 1-40 for AOT Sonex.
In the second match of the day SAA-Sultan Al-Abideen romped home with a four-wicket win over Jawar Al-Jazira. Batting first Jawar Al-Jazira made 165-7 in the allotted 18 overs. Shan Manzoor made 55, Amir 40, Zulfiqar 19 not out, Adnan 16 and Abdul Razzaq 13. Asghar had magical figures of 4-24, Raheel 1-32 and Shahbaz Ahmed 1-37.
Sultan Al-Abideen-XI reached the target of 166-6 in 17.4 overs. Zameer scored 60, Raheel 52, Shahbaz 19 and Ihsan 13. Kamran claimed 2-31, Shan Manzoor 1-21, Adnan 1-22 and Omar 1-33 for Jawar Al
