Hijaz vs. Jeddah Projects in Kanoo final

XI beat their arch-rivals Sultan Al-Abideen-XI by 9 runs and Jeddah Projects Cricket Club beat the strong Kanoo Travel cricketers by a narrow margin of 12 runs in the semifinals, while Jawar Al-Jazira beat Natco by 10 wickets to hold the title of third position against Natco International, which is sponsored by the Kanoo Group of Companies and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
In the first match, Hijaz-XI won the toss and elected to bat first, scored 210-6 in the allotted 18 overs. Wajid Samdani scored 98 runs and missed the century by just 2 runs. Wahaj scored 40 runs while Naveed 24 and Ayaz 15 runs. Yusuf 2-33, Irfan 2-42 and Kashif took 1-53.
Sultan Al-Abideen-XI scored 201-8 in the allotted 18 overs. Qaisar made the highest 82 runs, Faqar 29, Guddu 19, Wasay 17 and Zameer 11 runs. Ather Abdul Quddus took 4-28, Wahaj 2-49, Wajid Samdani and Naveed took one wicket each.
Hijaz-XI won the match by a narrow margin of 9 runs.
In the second match JPCC batting first scored 226-7 in 20 overs, Jawad made 56 not out, Ali Shah 47, Hafeez 40, Shareef 15 and Ahsan chipped in with his 11 runs and remained unbeaten. Imran 1-22, Akbar 1-37 and Haroon Abdullah 1-67 were among the wickets for Kanoo Travel. In reply Kanoo Travel made 214-5 in their 20 overs. Mazhar scored 59 runs, Mohd. Riyas Chukkan contributed 46, Syed Kaleem 42, Sohail 19, Syed Mohd. Afroz 15 and Haroon Abdullah contributed 10 runs.
Jeddah Projects Cricket Club won the match just by 12 runs.
In the third match Natco batting first made 162-3 in their reduced overs of 16, Atta Ur Rehman made 51 not out and skipper Humayun Farooq remained unbeaten on 41, Ather Abdul Quddus contributed 37 and Ali 19 runs. Ramzan 2-24 and Adnan took 1-31. In reply Jawar Al-Jazira made 165 without losing any wicket. Shehzad made 103 off just 36 balls, he struck 21x4 and 1x6, while his partner Shaan Manzoor made 55 not out valuable runs in just 29 balls.
