Yemen & Gulf Countries are on the Line of Fire with Al-Qaeda!!
Al-Riyadh's Editorial

In case of security establishment or loss; Yemen represents the Standard criterion by which the pulse of positive or negative effects on the citizens of the whole Arabian Peninsula is measured. The past events of these circumstances were that South Yemen which adopted the Marxist approach was the basic supporter of what was called the "Zafaar Revolution" in Oman, Abdul Nasser, during the coop against the Kingship in Yemen, entered into a war-like situation with the Kingdom & Iran abused the "Houthies" condition and pushed them towards creating troubles in the Yemeni-Saudi borders that ended by their defeat, in addition to that Al-Qaeda has considered that the new conditions in the present Yemen represent a chance for the expansion and occupation of some towns. It was a step that represented their dreams of making the south of Yemen a starting point for establishing their state. However, by the departure of the previous government and the formation of another one, the practical military chase of Al-Qaeda remnants has started and the tribes allied with the new authority due to their awareness of the danger of Al-Qaeda. These incidents led to good and measured results.
The security condition in Yemen is heading towards stability due to that the Yemeni nation who experienced the various coops and wars was the one who revolted on the remains of these policies and did not raise, at the same time, the old slogans that ended with the end of irritation era. We have witnessed a nation who wants to achieve its freedom due to national objectives which are not dominated by the sectarian or tribal spirit. Mean while, the foreign powers couldn't guide the nation's direction towards dependency as it amazed everyone by its resistance against poverty, illiteracy & past years burdens through cohesion and unity in front of the toughest conditions and difficulties.
Confronting Al-Qaeda in Yemen is not a private responsibility which burdens should be borne by a rebellious economy and a difficult condition as the responsibility should be held, at first, by the surrounding neighboring gulf countries in general due to that the security effects that affected these countries earlier may be repeated by Al-Qaeda if it gets the chance to expand and strengthen itself by those who has the real desire to surround Arabian Gulf countries through a security vibration. Iran, for instance, does not hide such objectives through its posing of Iraq as a support base & Yemen as a war tool by supporting each of Al-Qaeda & the "Houthies" at the same time. This issue cannot and shouldn't be neglected or put among the secondary concern list if we know that there are no half or partial solutions in regard to Security.
Yemen needs a correct and rapid support to avoid its becoming a base for each state or organization which aims at targeting its national unity and striking Arabian Gulf countries. This call is not an emotional one as much as it is a fateful one due to that the security of Arabian peninsula and Arabian Gulf is a joint task which is neither divisible nor restricted to one country only.
The Arabian region is passing through transformational stage which destiny is unknown and we are a part of it in all cases. There are maps which are being prepared for what's after this stage and we are surrounded by three regional powers which meet on creating crises for us even if their targets and policies vary. Yemen is entering into the same game through making it a bridge way for crises existed in Gulf Cooperation Council. The necessity requires us to read the reality and future with eyes open to all possibilities. The process of Yemen stability is, absolutely, a basic objective measured by the common interests' standard. Accordingly, standing by its side is not an option but a commitment and a moral commitment to avoid it becoming the victim of "Nations Game" which is run behind all countries of the region!!
