Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Launches King Abdulaziz Public Library at Peking University and Receives Honorary Doctorate

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud launched here today King Abdulaziz Public Library at Peking University and received the honorary doctorate from Peking University.
Upon arrival, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was received Chinese Education Minister Chen Baosheng and a number of officials.
Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques unveiled the curtain on a plaque commemorating the opening of King Abdulaziz Public Library at Peking University.
A speech ceremony was held on this occasion.
In his speech, the President of Peking University delivered a speech in which he welcomed the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, stressing that opening King Abdulaziz Public Library at the university enhances bilateral relations between the two countries.
King Salman Launches King Abdulaziz Public Library at Peking University
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques watched a documentary film about King Abdulaziz Public Library and its role in publishing sciences, culture and knowledge in various languages.
Then, Faisal bin Moammar, General Supervisor of King Abdulaziz Public Library, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, providing information about the library in the university.
Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received the honorary doctorate from Peking University.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques delivered a speech in which he expressed pleasure to visit Peking University, thanking the university for granting him the honorary doctorate.
"I seized the opportunity to assert the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's interest in the science and knowledge. Science is the foundation of the nations' renaissance and progress," the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques said.
"I am pleased regarding launching King Abdulaziz Public Library at this prestigious university. I call for further cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China in various fields of scientific research serving the two countries and peoples," the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques added.
"I thank you. I hope that this occasion will contribute in enhancing relations between the two countries in various fields, particularly in the fields of science and culture," the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques concluded.
Two valuable books about the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China were granted to King Abdulaziz Public University.
The ceremony was attended by Prince Khalid bin Fahd bin Khalid; Prince Mansour bin Saud bin Abdulaziz; Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz; Prince Saud bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz; Prince Talal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz; Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayan, President of Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu; Prince Sattam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz; Prince Dr. Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed, President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology; Prince Faisal bin Khaled bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Advisor at the Royal Court; Prince Mansour bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Advisor at the Royal Court; Prince Ahmad bin Fahad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz; Prince Saud bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; Prince Naif bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; Prince Rakan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; and ministers accompanying the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
