International Islamic University in Malaysia Grants Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Honorary Doctorate Degree in Political Science and Outstanding Achievement Award for Serving Islam and Nation

The International Islamic University in Malaysia granted here today Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud a honorary doctorate degree in the political science (service of Islam and moderation) and outstanding achievement award for serving Islam and Muslims.
This came during a ceremony held today by the International Islamic University in Malaysia in honor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
Upon arrival, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was received by Sultan Ahmad Shah of Pahang, the Constitutional Head of the International Islamic University in Malaysia; Malaysian Minister of Higher Education Idris Jusoh and a number of officials.
Then, memorial photo were taken on this occasion.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques signed in the visit record, expressing his happiness to visit the university and for contributions which are achieved by the university in the field of scientific knowledge and consolidation of the Islamic approach in various sciences.
Then, the two national anthems of the two states were played.
At the outset of the ceremony, verses of the Holy Quran were recited.
Then, the Sultan Ahmad Shah of Pahang, Constitutional Head of the International Islamic University in Malaysia, delivered a speech in which he announced awarding the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques the honorary doctorate degree in the political sciences (service of Islam and Moderation) and granting him Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition of his efforts and contributions in serving Islam and Muslims.
He stressed that the university is proud of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his great achievements at all levels.
Then, march and great achievements of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques were highlighted.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques received the honorary doctorate degree and outstanding achievement award from Sultan Ahmad Shah of Pahang.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was also received memorial gift on this occasion.
Then, the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques delivered a speech in which he stressed that education is an essential pillar for achieving aspirations of Islamic peoples towards progress, prosperity, development and civilizational progress in the useful sciences and knowledge.
The monarch stressed that universities in the Islamic World have great responsibility in taking care and rehabilitating the youths and raising the level of awareness of the challenges that surround the Islamic nation in addition to immunizing them with science and knowledge against extremism ideas in order to stand against abusers who target the security of their countries as well as capabilities and achievements of civilization.
King Salman pointed out that all universities in the Islamic world are responsible for highligting the truth of Islam and its bright image in addition to taking advantage of scientific and technical development as well as research and studies that will help recruit the youths in order to restore the nation's pioneering role and transferring expertise to all the countries of the Islamic world and the countries of the world.
At the end of the ceremony, the national anthems of the two states were played.
The ceremony was attended by a number of princes, ministers and officials.
