The Fourth Saudi Solar Energy Forum was opened here today. The two-day forum is organized by King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE). Addressing the opening ceremony, KACARE Deputy President Dr. Waleed Hussein Abu Al-Faraj said that KACARE will start implementing its strategy this year. "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will save 360-520 thousand barrels per day through the implementation of its solar energy plan by 2032," he said. This forum discusses the opportunities for localizing solar energy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and examines the core theme of "Setting the Environment for Local Private Investments."
