AlHijjah 24, 1432, Nov 20, 2011, SPA -- The Executive Committee on the Kingdom's Health Care Strategy has held its First meeting here under the chairmanship of Secretary General of the Council of Health Services. The meeting was attended by executive members of the Committee, an affiliate of the Council, who represent all health sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, Assistant Secretary General of the Council Dr. Abdullah Al-Hariri presented a briefing on the Council' s activities and mission. In a press statement, he said that the health care strategy aims to achieve a number of goals including creation of streams of new funding to support government assistance and cost containment, development of health information systems and introduction of the latest technologies and expansion of their usage in all sectors and health facilities as well as development of manpower and Saudization of health jobs. Membership of the Executive Committee of the Health Care Strategy in the Kingdom includes representatives from the Ministry of Health; the National Guard's Health Affairs Department; medical services of the armed forces; the Security Forces Hospital; King Faisal Specialist Hospital; the Saudi Red Crescent Authority; Cooperative Health Insurance Council; the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, the Food and Drugs Authority and the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry
