Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who is also the General Supervisor of the National Campaign to Relieve the Somali People, directed to launch a sealift from Jeddah Sea Port to the Somali capital Mogadishu to transport food stuffs and donations in kind contributed by Saudi citizens to the National Campaign. Accordingly, the Campaign committee began preparing a ship with a capacity of 4,000 tons for that purpose, in the context of a urgent working plan in coordination with pertinent authorities to distribute the aid among affected Somalis. Furthermore, the Campaign committee started this day 4 air flights from Riyadh Air Base to Mogadishu Airport with a shipment of more than 45 tons of different food stuffs, as a part of the current airlift organized by the Campaign. -- SPA
