One Yemeni soldier was killed and two injured Friday when insurgents attacked a patrol in Taiz in southern Yemen, the official SABA news agency reported. "This criminal act is part of continuing acts targeting the army and security troops with the aim of undermining efforts to restore calm to the province," the agency quoted a security official in Taiz as saying. No-one has claimed responsibility for the assault.
