Dhabi, Rajab 13, 1432 / Jun 15, 2011, SPA -- Ministers of Agriculture of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states held in Abdu-Dhabi today their 22nd meeting. Dr. Fahd Balghunaim, Minister of Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led his country's delegation to the conference. At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Rashed Ahmed bin Fahd, Minister of Environment and Water of the United Arab Emirates, who holds the rotatory presidency of the GCC Ministers of Agriculture's Council, underscored the importance of the meeting based on the fact that the GCC countries have exerted sincere efforts to confront the problems facing agriculture and water resources in their countries. He highlighted the importance of benefiting from the international organizations and bureaus hosted by the GCC member states. GCC Assistant Secretary General for Economic Affairs Abdullah Al-Shibly also took part in the meeting.
