Armed insurgents occupying an adjacent building were assaulting on the governor's office in the southern Afghanistan city of Kandahar, an official said Saturday. "Four people were injured in attack on the governor office," the unnamed official was quoted as saying the German Press Agency "DPA" Gunfire and explosions were also heard outside the city. Assaults were also being made against an intelligence office and a police compound outside the provincial capital, he said.
