Awwal 01, 1432 H/April 05, 2011, SPA -- U.S. stocks are mixed at the opening of trading with oil prices hovering near 30-month highs, a rate hike in China and new developments in Europe's debt crisis, according to AP. Stock markets slipped around the world Tuesday, after China raised a key lending rate and the rating agency Moody's lowered Portugal's credit rating. Crude oil prices are trading around $108 a barrel as unrest in the Middle East continues to raise doubts about future supplies. The Institute for Supply Management will release its monthly survey of the service industry this morning. Economists expect the index will show slower growth in March. The Dow Jones industrial average is down 12, or 0.1 percent, at 12,388. The S&P 500 index is down 1 at 1,331. The Nasdaq composite is up 3, or 0.1 percent, at 2,792. -- SPA
