Jerusalem Congress Denounces Zionist Aggressions at Entrances to Al Aqsa Mosque
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 14 - 03 - 2011

The Islamic Jerusalem Congress has denounced the Zionist aggressions at the entrances to the Blessed Mosque of Al Aqsa and violations against the city of Al Quds.
In a press statement issued today, the Amman-based Congress said the City of Al Quds (Jerusalem) and the Blessed Mosque of Al Aqsa are exposed at this stage, from the Zionist challenge to the direct threat by the occupation authorities, Jewish settlers and Jewish extremists who are trying to storm the Al Aqsa Mosque in various ways to establish their religious rites in its precincts.
The statement added that the last of these threats is an announcement of Municipality of the Israeli occupation authorities in Jerusalem, granting the Western Wall Heritage Foundation - a Jewish extremist establishment, a license to resume building an iron bridge connecting the Blessed Mosque of Al Aqsa with its squares, under the pretext of facilitating the access of Jews to the Wailing Wall, and this also makes it easier for Israeli military vehicles to storm al-Aqsa mosque at any time.
This Zionist attack comes at a time of Arab weakness and fragility of the Islamic solidarity, and the disintegration of nation's people and its concern 'over issues other than the fundamental causes, the statement added
The Palestinian issue is the core of the issues, and the issue of Al Quds (Jerusalem) is the basic of this cause, and the Blessed Mosque of Al Aqsa is the essence of the issue of Jerusalem, the statement said
"The Islamic Jerusalem congress deplores and condemns these attacks at the entrances to the Blessed Mosque of Al Aqsa, in particular the commencement of this iron bridge to allow Jews to enter the courtyards of the Mosque and the exercise of their religious rituals in the precincts with ease, the statement said, noting that these attacks are in accordance with a scheme of the Zionist occupation authorities to access the Mosque to impose a fait accompli in the absence of any deterrent of Arab or Islamic or international forces.
