Awwal 17, 1432 H/Feb 20, 2011, SPA-- David and Victoria Beckham were Sunday reported to be among the 1,900 guests attending the royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton in April - but there were also said to be some notable absences. St James's Palace said more than 200 members of the government, parliament and diplomatic corps would be amongst the guests, along with 60 governors-general and prime ministers from the Commonwealth, and more than 40 representatives from foreign royalty, dpa reported. Soldiers who have served - and been injured - in Afghanistan and Iraq and representatives from charities, including some homeless people, would be present at the wedding service at Westminister Abbey on April 29. The service will be followed by a reception for about 650 guests at Buckingham Palace, hosted by Queen Elizabeth II, and later, about 300 family members from both sides and close friends will attend a buffet-dance evening at the palace. The names of the invitees have not been officially released. But reports Sunday said David and Victoria Beckham - Britain's foremost footballer and celebrity couple - were among the guests. Other celebrities are also likely to be included. However, the Daily Telegraph reported Saturday that Sarah Ferguson, the former wife of Prince Andrew, had not been invited.
