Awwal 14, 1432 H/Feb 17, 2011, SPA -- The Saudi Red Crescent Commission (SRCC) and Armina Engineering Company co-signed in Al-Fasher, the capital city of Sudan's Northern Darfur state, agreements to establish two health clinics in Darfur at a cost of one million Sudanese pound each. Mohammed Abdullah Alshamrani, SRCC's Regional Director in Sudan, signed for his organization while Karam Al-Deen Hamid singed for his company. The construction work will be completed in three months. Al-Shamrani said SRCC has also digged two wells for potable water in Abudlaig and Um-Ajaja in Kemlendo Municipality at a cost of 2 million Sudanese pounds. SRCC will send over the next coming days ten ambulances out of 30 allocated for Darfur's three states, he added. For his part, the Minister of Health of Northern Darfur Major General (retired) Mohammed Mahjoub Babiker thanked SRCC for its assistance to Darfur's people in the field of health, noting that SRCC is currently undertaking the provision of free health services to Darfur people through 21 dispensaries in the three states of Darfur in addition to 21 wells digged earlier by SRCC.
