Awwal 11, 1432 H/Feb 14, 2011, SPA-- Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session held at Al-Yamamah Palace here today. At the outset of the session, the Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the telephone calls the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received from President Barack Obama of the United States of America and the message the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques received from President Dmitry Medvedev of the Russian Federation. The message was delivered to the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior by Alexander Sultanov, Special Representative of the president of Russia to the Middle East who is also Russian Deputy Foreign Minister. The Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques also briefed the Cabinet on the meetings he held with Prime Minister Francois Fillon of France; Prime Minister Hamad bin Jasim bin Jabir Al Thani of the State of Qatar. The Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques stressed the strong bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the two brotherly and friendly countries. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said the Cabinet discussed the latest developments in the region and welcomed again the peaceful transition of power in the brotherly Arab Republic of Egypt and expressed hope that efforts of the Egyptian Armed Forces will restore peace, stability and tranquility to the brotherly Arab Republic of Egypt, paving the way for the establishment of a national government that achieves the hopes and aspirations of the brotherly Egyptian people for peace, stability and economic prosperity and helps the brotherly Arab Republic of Egypt maintain in continuity its historic role at Arab, Islamic and International arenas. The Cabinet also welcomed the outcomes of the meetings of the 11th session of Saudi-Moroccan Joint Committee held in Rabat last week and its positive impact on the existing cooperation between the two brotherly countries, particularly in strengthening the role of the private sector and joint investments. --More
