Disappointed of the low-profile and poor performance of its national soccer team and its early disqualification to the next phase of the ongoing Asia soccer cup finals in Doha, Qatar, and to better prepare the team for future competitions at the Arab, continental and international levels, the first of which is in the offing, the Saudi Soccer Federation has accepted the resignation of Fahd Al-Misaibeeh, the Manager of the Saudi Soccer National team, and his crew, relieved Nasser Al-Johar of his post as the current team's coach, and vowed to immediately replace them by a highly-qualified international crew and domestic aides. Making his debut, Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the General President of Youth Welfare, explained that the new crew would be asked to undertake the responsibility of setting up and training the Kingdom's first soccer team over the above-mentioned period including holding friendly matches against renowned international teams. In a statement, he vowed to put all the required capabilities at the team's disposal including the promotion of the Saudi Soccer Federation technically and administratively upon the directives and support of the Saud prudent leadership. He said he would soon hold a meeting with professionals and soccer club leaders to discuss the overall issue with emphasis to the first team's case. The meeting will tackle the mechanism of player premiums and deducts according to domestic and international professionalism systems. In conclusion, he advised players who wear the country's national logo to become as serious and loyal as required.
