Jordan witnessed the year's first partial solar eclipse at 9:00 am today that lasted for 3 hours and 7 minutes as the moon partially covered the sun. The eclipse was observed by a team of the Jordanian Astronomical Society (JAS) at the Amman Citadel. The eclipse covered the Arab region and Europe, and started in Amman at 9:00 am, reached its peak at 10:43 am and ended at 12:18 pm, Jordan News Agency (Petra) quoted astronomical expert and Vise-President of JAS Khaled Al-Tal as saying.
